Join the Smith Lake Environmental Preservation Committee (SLEPC) and Alabama Power for the Renew Our Rivers/SLEPC Smith Lake Cleanup on Earth Day, Friday, April 22nd.
- Lunch is provided for all volunteers!
- SLEPC Renew Our Rivers Cleanup T-shirts are provided to all volunteers!
- All we need is YOU.
PLEASE REGISTER by Monday, April 18th, as we need to have a headcount for lunch.
We will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Smith Lake Park Boat Launch for sign-in and safety guidelines. We will load the boats and head out to clean areas of Simpson Creek and Ryan Creek from Smith Lake Park to Big Bridge. Lunch will be provided by Alabama Power.
** Many companies provide paid time off when you volunteer for a community service project. Check with your employer to see if they provide this benefit! Help keep Smith Lake clean and beautiful, and make new friends in the process.
